When we first opened our baby scanning studios we quickly discovered from our clients that many NHS boards such as Fife, will not tell you the gender of your baby during your regularly scheduled NHS 2D ultrasound baby scans. While some hospitals in
Edinburgh will reveal the gender, they do not allow any additional time within their scan appointments if it turns out that your baby is being a bit shy and unwilling to reveal itself. Therefore, if you are simply desperate to find out if your wee one is boy or girl, we are more than happy to offer our services! As we have baby scan studios in both Edinburgh as well as Stirling, we are able to accommodate baby gender scans for Glasgow to Falkirk, Fife or the Borders.
During your gender scan appointment you will have the opportunity to bond with your wee one in 2D and will also receive 2 x black and white scan photos. We will also provide a well-being check-list for you examining baby’s movement, heartbeat, placenta position, liquor level, weight estimation and presentation.
Our scan centres have one of the highest accuracies for gender scanning. The reason for this is simple: on the rare occasion that we cannot tell the gender of your baby accurately, which could be due to a number of factors, mainly being related to baby’s position, we will always bring you back for another scan completely free of charge.
